GOVERNOR PLEDGES TO FINISH HIGHWAY 80
Speaking to a full house Friday night, the Governor committed to finishing KY Highway 80 as a four lane road. He also committed to finishing work on the bridges over the Kentucky River. The current bridge is a heavily traveled narrow two lane that has seen more than its share of accidents.

Dr. Jack Rose, currently a professor and a former dean of the college of education at Murray State University, is the recipient of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) 2008 William T. Nallia Award. KASA presented the award to Rose on July 17, at its 39th Annual Conference in Louisville.
