MSU Makes Kiplinger Best Value List for 4th Time

Kiplinger has recognized Murray State University for the fourth consecutive year as one of the top 100 best values among public universities across the nation on Kiplinger’s 100 Best Values in Public Colleges for 2008-09. Murray State is the only public university in Kentucky included in the rankings, which feature schools that excel at combining first-class academics with an affordable price tag.

Casinos Laying Off Employees

Think back to last General Assembly and the blazing issue of the day. Casinos or no casinos?  

At the time, casino gaming was advertised to save jobs in the horse racing industry, add much needed dollars to local economies and provide good paying jobs in a slowing economy.
