AG Jack Conway spoke to teens at the FF Picnic Saturday. Little did he know then that fiery words would get him in hot water.
Bluegrass Politics is reporting that Attorney General Jack Conway issued an apology today, saying:
“I apologize to picnic organizers, parishioners and guests that I got caught up in the fiery rhetoric that is a trademark of Fancy Farm and made a remark in reference to myself that I should not have,” he said in the statement. “When someone attacks my family with statements that are simply untrue, I am passionate in their defense and fight back, just as I am passionate and fight everyday for issues that are important to Kentucky families…” the rest of the story
Good for Conway for apologizing. We don’t remember any attacks on his family – but we couldn’t hear what the hecklers were saying from the crowd either.
