Bigger not always better. Duh.
How about school de-consolidation

Recent studies of school district consolidation have come to the surprising finding that districts bigger than 3,000 students were likely running at less than optimal efficiency.  The evidence suggests that deconsolidation maybe be a much more fruitful path to efficiency than consolidation.

Senator Paul Channels Ayn Rand in Energy Committee Address

Senator Paul used "Anthem" an Ayn Rand novel to illustrate his disgust with the federal government's interference with consumer choice in light bulbs.

We reprint the transcript of his speech here for our readers, noting we have two problems with it. First - consumers could replace wasteful traditional bulbs with newfangled efficient ones - but they don' and won't until forced. Second - the light bulb measure came about during the Bush Administration triggered to begin on the next guy's watch.

Rotten Kids! Sedalia Elementary Places 3rd in National Competition

Sedalia Elementary teacher Keri Dowdy’s fourth graders won the Kentucky competition and placed third nationally in the Disney Planet Challenge. 

 It’s the second consecutive year that Dowdy’s students won at the state level and the first time they placed nationally. This year’s fourth graders pose here with one of their two composting bins behind the southeastern Graves County school.
