Preliminary figures for Fall 2011 show MSU up overall, and in new freshmen, transfers and international

MURRAY, Ky. — Increases in first-time freshmen and transfer students combined to raise Murray State University’s overall enrollment to an estimated 10,617 students. Together with last year’s increase, Murray’s larger numbers represent a six percent rise in students enrolled over the past two years. The university is at its highest enrollment ever.

PHOTO FINISH – The Graves County Schools’ Performing Arts Center’s Sprockets Photography Show was held during October. PAC manager Donna Gream said she was pleased with the 30 entries from a variety of people, places, and age groups.

Hickman County, Graves County, Murray, Kentucky: In Western Kentucky, local high schools have partnered with attorneys to provide free wills for veterans on Veterans Day (November 11, 2011), and provide students with an invaluable opportunity to learn about history from those who helped make it.
