(March 12, 2014) UPDATE: Dr. Davies was selected by the Board of Regents to be next president of MSU. Salary of $300,000 yearly.

The first candidate for the job of president of Murray State University will visit the campus Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday morning when he will meet with the Board.

Dr. Robert O. Davies, current president of Eastern Oregon University, was raised in the West according to his biography on the Eastern Oregon University website. EOU is located in LeGrand, a town of about 13,000.

WFPL, Louisville's NPR station is reporting that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be in Louisville on April 26th to speak to the United Methodist Women's Assembly, a gathering of 7000 Methodist women.
