Fifteen Paducah Tilghman High School students scored a 30 or better on at least one section of the ACT that was taken in June: Nicholas Beeny, Morgan Brewington, Lance Butler, Will Denton, Jose Ricardo dos Remedios, Hannah Fischer, Jackson Fitzgerald, Anna Grace McGee, James McGee, Peyton Patel, Kate Rogers, Landon Ross, Emery Wainscott, Kaleb White, and Taylor Willis.

Kentucky's aviation and aerospace growth is out of this world

FRANKFORT--Engineers watched a few weeks ago from a control room inside an old building on Short Street in Lexington as a small box was pushed into place aboard the International Space Station.

Designed and built in Kentucky under the direction of Kentucky-based Space Tango, the box is a laboratory called TangoLab 1 filled with 21 cubes capable of running different bioengineering experiments simultaneously.

Space Tango is part of a growing export aerospace business for the Commonwealth, bringing in $8.7 billion in 2015.

Discovery Park of America adding Children's Discovery Garden

UNION CITY, TN- Officials at Discovery Park of America are announcing today the largest expansion that the park has had since it opened in November of 2013 with the addition of a Children's Discovery Garden, with an expected cost of over one-half million dollars.

The Children's Discovery Garden will be located on the North side of the property, just over the bridge to the right and will be over 23,000 square feet of space where children can learn, explore, romp, and play...

Photo: Rhapsody outdoor musical equipment will be one of the first surprises guests will encounter when winding their way down the aesthetic pathway of the new "Children's Discovery Garden," set to open in the first quarter of 2017 on the grounds at Discovery Park of America.

PSAD Workshops Community Education Workshops Begins September 3

PADUCAH, KY (August 23, 2016) - Beginning September 3, Paducah School of Art and Design is offering several workshops, as part of the community education offerings in the West Kentucky Community and Technical College fall catalog.

Two Saturday intensive workshops for high school students also begin September 3.
