Jacob Holtgrewe, Paducah Tilghman freshman and former Paducah Middle School student of science instructor Brandon Cornaby, was selected as the 2010 top entry among all other Kentucky resident submissions in the 12th Annual Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, the premier national science competition for students in grades 5-8.
As a state semifinalist, Jacob will receive a $250 prize, certificate of achievement and t-shirt. Mr. Cornaby also received a plaque recognizing his role in inspiring Jacob to explore science. |
