Ag producers and industry professionals invited to attend

MURRAY, Ky. — The Murray State University (MSU) school of agriculture is hosting the Regional Agriculture Conference for Environment, Resources and Sustainability (RACERS) on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The conference is free and will be held at the W.M. “Bill” Cherry Exposition Center in Murray.

This conference has been expanded from last year’s Precision Agriculture conference by including other related agriculture topics including agri-energy and new crop production technologies.

Opportunities for learning, acquiring products and/or services, and networking with producers and industry professionals will provide attendees with a truly unique agricultural experience in this region. Anyone in the region with an interest in agriculture or agriculture-related business or industry is invited to attend this event to gain knowledge in this progressive field of study.

The conference will include a variety of events allowing industry and producers to converge and create potential opportunities for all. This event will also include the kick-off of the informational sessions regarding the West Kentucky Bioworks farmer network.   

Through grant funding by MSU’s office of regional stewardship and outreach and sponsorships from agricultural companies, the school of agriculture is able to provide this immense opportunity to the citizens of west Kentucky and surrounding regions. Regional stewardship’s purpose is to link the resources and knowledge of our public universities to the needs and challenges of their respective regions.
