Graves County Freshman selected for National Jr. Hi Honor Choir

Graves County High School freshman Olivia Gregorowicz recently was selected to be a part of the American Choral Directors’ Association’s National Junior High Honor Choir. She competes with junior high school students because of the categories the organization uses, which includes ninth grade on the junior high school level.

GCHS choral director Jacob Hein submitted her recorded audition to compete with more than 1,000 other junior high students from across the country and she was selected by a highly-respected judging panel representing ACDA, the premier national choral organization. Gregorowicz will be one of only a handful of students to represent the commonwealth of Kentucky at the prestigious event which includes students from nearly 40 states across the U.S.

She will travel to Chicago, in March where she will participate in the honor choir performances. Olivia is the daughter of Steven and Devon Brooksbank.
