FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 11, 2011) – The Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission is requesting nominations from the public for its 2011 Earth Day Awards.

The annual awards are presented to individuals and/or entities that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to Kentucky’s environment.

            The nomination form can be found on the EQC’s website at http://eqc.ky.gov/Pages/default.aspx or by calling LaTisha Barnett at 502-564-2674 or e-mailing latisha.barnett@ky.gov.

            Nominations must be delivered by close of business on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011. Nomination forms can be sent to Barnett electronically or by mail to 603 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort, Ky. 40601.

            This year’s Earth Day awards ceremony will be held April 15, 2011 at Berry Hill Mansion in Frankfort.
