Why do the Republicans and the three Democrats who voted in Congress yesterday to repeal the 2010 healthcare bill that helps so many ordinary Americans refuse to give up their federal medical insurance?

If they are willing to try to force the average American back to a time of being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, not being able to qualify for or afford any medical insurance, being dropped from policies, having a maximum lifetime amount that can easily be reached through a serious medical condition, seniors being faced with the total 'donut hole' again for prescription drugs, etc., then why should we, the constituents and taxpayers, be OK with chipping in through our tax dollars to make sure that Congress and the Senate and their immediate families are well covered and worry free in this regard?

Are we stupid?....or are we stupid????

It's also a concern as to where campaign funding comes from in any substantial amounts. Do those who receive some of the largest donations from the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industries feel obliged to take into consideration their benefactors rather than their constituents?

Several websites post public information regarding the sources through which your congressperson or senator received their campaign contributions and it is well worth you looking this up. You can go to the Federal Elections Commission website or to opensecrets.org or campaignfinance.org, to name but a few of the website locations where you can research the source of your representative's campaign money.
