Three Ft. Campbell Soldiers: March 29, 2011


FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 31, 2011) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of three Fort Campbell soldiers who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, the following soldiers died March 29 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with small arms fire in Konar province, Afghanistan.  They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
