Graves High students to be honored by National Quilt Museum

QUILTERS’ BLOCK – Graves County High School students Josie Seay, Elizabeth French, and Cyler Sullivan will be honored at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah Feb. 4 for their work in the museum’s School Block Challenge. Contestants were challenged to use three  fabric samples the museum provided to design a quilt block. The three students entered the contest as part of their Life Skills class.

Their design, "Creepy Crawly," placed second in the contest. More than 170 students from 12 states competed. The GCHS students’ design can be seen at the National Quilt Museum or on-line at http://www.quiltmuseum.org/school-block-challenge.html.
