AWESOME KYDOT crew gets job done
Editor's Note: I could not resist reprinting the two emails that came in last night from Keith Todd of District 1 of the KY Transportation Cabinet. Press releases tend to be rather pedestrian affairs. But not Keith Todd's. The man does not fear adjectives and adverbs and his verbs are expressive indeed.
Thanks Keith and thanks to the crew who got it done. The bolding is editorial comment.

----- Original Message ----- From: Todd, Keith (KYTC-D01) Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2012 08:28 PM Subject: Traffic Signal Outage at Purchase Pkwy SB Ramp intersection with US 68 at DRAFFENVILLE Traffic ALERT A traffic crash earlier today has wiped out the traffic signal at the Purchase Parkway Southbound ramp intersection with US 68 at Draffenville in Marshall County. Due to the extensive damage to the controller and signal components it may take several days to for technicians to get the signal back in service. This intersection is signed as a 4-Way Stop and will remain so until appropriate signal repairs can be completed. Appropriate caution is required at this intersection just west of Draffenville. UPDATE 10:38 PM The traffic signal at the Purchase Parkway Southbound ramp intersection with US 68 at Draffenville in Marshall County is fully functional at this time. The awesome KYTC District 1 traffic crew checked the weather forecast and determined it would be difficult to replace the traffic signal before Tuesday. The crew managed to rebuild the signal control box tonight so it could be back up and functioning in time for heavy Labor Day holiday traffic in the lakes area. Let's all buckle up and be careful out there. Kt
