CLINTON, Ky. – Hickman County is pleased to announce that DuPont Pioneer donated $2,700 toward Project IPAD (Investigating Possibilities in the Agriculture Department). Scott Mitchell, territory manager in Clinton, Ky., sponsored this grant.

The funds will be directed toward the Hickman County Agriculture Department where the money will be used for a greenhouse research project that will introduce students to the science of hydroponics. Students will conduct research through the internet using wireless IPAD technology, collect and record data using IPAD apps and excel spreadsheets, and conduct scientific hydroponic experiments in the agriculture department’s greenhouse.

“Supporting the education of our future leaders in the agriculture industry is extremely important,” explained Scott Mitchell, territory manager. “Pioneer is proud to be supporting the educational efforts of our local school.
