No-Count Dog to the Rescue is second NCD adventure
The tiny kitten talks back to No-Count Dog in this second NCD story.

(Clinton KY) No-Count Dog is back for his second adventure in No-Count Dog to the Rescue. In his second outing, the lovable dog finds a lost kitten after the big storm of his first book. How No-Count and his friends care for the kitten is the story told in this colorfully illustrated new 44 page picture book.

No-Count Dog to the Rescue was written and illustrated by Mary and Ivan Potter. It has taken the Potters over two years to bring the lovable dog back to print. When the illustrator of the first book, No-Count Dog, moved on to a new family and new job, Mary Potter was left with a story but no pictures. Fortunately, her husband, Ivan Potter, was willing to take up the challenge. Recalling his first dog, Brownie, Mr. Potter brought his own talents to illustrating the book. The husband and wife collaboration has had its ups and downs.

"His first kitten looked like a rat." Mrs. Potter said. "I made him visit Laura Poole, our neighbor, who had just rescued a litter of kittens. Watching them and playing with them made his kitten pictures one thousand percent better!"

"Every athlete knows that practice and coaching improves their game. Writers and artists also need practice and coaching. We want to share that message with children."

The first book debuted at the Ninth Arts Fair and the Potters are excited to bring this one to the 11th. For those who couldn't make it to the Fair, the book retails for $14.95. Each copy will be signed by the author and illustrator.
