PTHS Senior semifinalist in Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Program
PTHS Senior Clair Kelly

Paducah, KY - Paducah Tilghman High School senior Claire Kelly has been named a semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Program. Kelly is one of 2,000 high school seniors nationwide selected from a pool of more than 87,000 applicants to advance in the scholarship program based on academic excellence, leadership, and service to the community.

Kelly is a National Merit Semifinalist, an AP Scholar, and an alumna of the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program. She is ranked among the top 150 competitors in the state on the National Speech and Debate Association's All-State Team and was recently named to the Kentucky Music Educators Association's All-State Chorus.

Kelly is a member of the National Honor Society, the PTHS Mock Trial Team, the distinguished Tilghman choir, and the a cappella women's vocal ensemble Concordia. She serves as president of the Beta Club and is an Arts and Entertainment editor and photographer for the Tilghman Bell student newspaper.

She is active at the Market House Theatre and serves as President of the Maiden Alley Teen Scene board. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Her parents are Robin and Keith Kelly.

Superintendent Donald Shively said, "Claire makes a positive impact at Paducah Tilghman, and more importantly, her outreach extends into the community. Tilghman has allowed her to follow her passions, and she has chosen to use those talents to benefit others. I am proud that she is among those recognized nationwide for her impressive body of work."
