Legislative calendar 30 days over 3 months

The Kentucky General Assembly comes into session on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The Senate will be gaveled into session at 11:00 a.m. The House will convene at noon.

This session will be the first in memory that the Grand Old Party controls the Senate, the House and the governor's office. After 95 years of Democratic rule, Republicans swept aside their rivals in November 2016. Some well known Democrats won't be coming back, among them Speaker of the House Greg Stumbo who lost his bid for reelection.

The Session will last 30 days spread over three months. The last day is March 30th.
