LOTTERY SENDS $7.0M IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOUR COUNTIES

 

$7 Million in Lottery Scholarship Money Goes to McCracken, Graves, Trigg and Calloway County Students Last Year
 
The Kentucky Lottery helped 4564 students in four counties in 2007 with grants and scholarships to further their education.
 
Here’s the breakdown:
 
McCracken County:     1919 students  $2.9 million  
Graves County: 1213 students    $1.9 “
Calloway County:         1033 students  $1.6 “
Trigg County:        399 students  $ 623,299
 
Murray State University received funds from the Lottery Fund for 4297 students to the tune of 6.8 million dollars.
 
Representative Melvin Henley and Rep. Fred Nesler issued statements applauding the assistance received by students in their districts.
