Governor Beshear Recognizes Sacrifice of Four Fort Campbell Casualties   FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 16, 2010) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of four Fort Campbell soldiers who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.   According to the Department of Defense, the following soldiers died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device June 7 in Konar, Afghanistan.  They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.   Sgt. Joshua A. Lukeala, 23, of Yigo, Guam; Spc. Matthew R. Catlett, 23, of Houston, Texas; Spc. Charles S. Jirtle, 29, of Lawton, Okla.; and Spc. Blaine E. Redding, 22, of Plattsmouth, Neb.   Gov. Beshear will order flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of each soldier’s interment for which arrangements are still pending.
