Graves County Band going to semi-finals

Pride of Graves County Marching BandFor only the second time in school history the Pride of Graves County Marching Band has qualified for State Semi-Finals.  Twelve Class AAAAA West bands competed at Hopkinsville Saturday, Oct. 23, for the honor of moving on to the KMEA Class AAAAA State Marching Band Semi-Finals. 

The Graves County band placed seventh and will compete at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time in the semi-final marching competition which will be held at Papa John Cardinals Stadium in Louisville Saturday, Oct. 30.  Of the sixteen Class AAAAA bands competing Saturday, the top four will move on to compete in the Finals that same evening.  This marching competition can be compared to the Sweet Sixteen in basketball.
