Fire Chief Peter M. Lam reads to first graders.

(Fulton, KY Friday, March 11, 2011)  - Chief Peter M. Lamb of the Fulton Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance Service in Fulton, Kentucky participated in the “Mystery Reader” program at Carr Elementary School in Fulton.

Family Resources Director Tracey Pulley invited Chief Lamb to come to the school to read and interact with Cyndi Brown’s first grade class. The students had surmised that the “Mystery Reader” would be a firefighter but never guessed that the fire chief would be present.

Chief Lamb read “Firefighter To The Rescue” to the students and demonstrated donning his fire gear. The Chief answered numerous, pertinent questions from the students and learned that firefighters must be able to put on their fire gear in one minute!
