October 18, 2011 (Mayfield, KY) The City of Mayfield is proud to announce that the mural on War Memorial Stadium is complete, and encourages Mayfield football enthusiasts to drive by as it gives the whole area a new look. “There’s no doubt who plays football at that stadium,” commented Mayor Teresa Cantrell, referring to the graphics and the mural that have been added this year.

Collectible signed and numbered prints of the mural are now available at the Mayor’s office.  “We currently have sold around 60 of the prints, so a lot of numbers have already been taken.  I would advise that if you have a particular number you want, you should call the office (251-6251) and reserve that number,” commented Mayor Teresa Cantrell. 

The prints are 7”x16” and the Mayor’s office is planning to have an area set up at this week’s home football game for sale of the prints.  The price for each print is $30.00, and the funds will help to pay for the cost of the mural project.  According to Cantrell, they’re the perfect gift for the MHS Football fan.
