Mayfield, Benton and Graves awarded grants from state



On February 16, 2017, Governor Bevin announced $1.3 million in recreation trail grants. The City of Mayfield was one of the recipients, receiving $49,766 for the Kess Creek Walking Trail. The money will go to extend the Trail and provide lighting.

The Governor also awarded land and water conservation grants to two Purchase area projects. Graves County Fiscal Court will receive $22,500 to improve the Mayfield-Graves County Baseball Park. Benton will get $75,000 for the City of Benton Pool House.
