Stand Up. Speak Out. Let Your Voice Be Heard on Nov. 6th

Editor:

My plea goes out to every person who has been sexually assaulted. Stand up. Speak out. Let your voices be heard on Nov. 6.

Send a powerful message to men like President Trump, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and members of the House and Senate that "No means no."

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, there are other men like me who believe your story. We don't think it's "fake news."

To all victims of sexual assault around the country and around the world, we stand with you. Your fight is our fight. And we join you in saying, "Enough is enough."

This is your time to be heard and to tell of your pain, your struggle, your dark secret.

I thank you, Dr. Ford, for your courage, your bravery and your voice. I thank you for standing up and speaking out against the injustice done to you when you were a teenager and when you testified before the Senate committee.

To all African Americans who being are pushed to the back of the bus again, be a Rosa Parks, a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or a W.C. Young, who was a great union, civil rights and NAACP leader from Paducah. Send a powerful message: No more racial injustice.

Stand up. Speak out. Let your voices be heard on Nov. 6.

To all immigrants, whatever your race or national origin: Send a powerful message. Stand up. Speak out. Let your voices be heard. If you are a citizen, vote on Nov. 6.

To all Americans who believe in our democracy and our constitution: Send a powerful message. Stand up. Speak out. Let your voices be heard on Nov. 6.
