New Warden
Henson Promoted to Warden
at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex
Kentucky Department of Corrections Commissioner LaDonna Thompson today announced the promotion of Bryan Henson to Warden at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex (WKCC) located in Lyon County. He replaces Becky Pancake who announced her retirement earlier this month after 31 years of service to the Department.

Over 100 show up for Hickman County Dem Fish Fry
Last Saturday evening over a hundred hungry Dems showed up to eat catfish, tap their toes to a local gospel group and hear Lt. Gov. Dan Mongiardo and primary opponent, Darlene Price, in their bids to succeed Sen. Jim Bunning.  Also on hand, Treasurer Todd Hollanbach and gubernatorial independent Gatewood Galbraith.
The Lt. Gov. and Price gave similar speeches to the ones they gave at St. Johns Picnic. (see related stories).  Here's our photo album of the evening.

UPDATE: Mike Pickard, our local Water Services Inc. rep, read about our problem before coming to work this morning. Soon after I opened the door, he showed up with his magic potion to drive away the toilet ghost.  For the record, he wasn't sent by corporate.
It seems that the float was hanging up on the flapper. He said it's not unusual for a leaky commode to double or triple a water bill. Who knew?
I opened my water bill last week and freaked out. How could we have used 5100 gallons of water in 34 days in an office with two people, one sink and one commode??
....Peggy told me she did the math and to use 5100 gallons in 34 days, I would have to flush 30 times a day, 7 days a week...
