...Forty one people joined the Attorney General of Kentucky for a buffet lunch of chicken, pizza, lasagnas, and full salad bar. The homemade desserts on the buffet proved to be big hits with the entire lunch crowd. On this day’s menu were chess, sweet potato, coconut and banana cream pies, made by a little old lady especially for the Majestic Restaurant. 

...Candidate Conway is in the process of being reborn. Today, in Mayfield and other far Western Kentucky communities, he spoke of being a Conservative Democrat. Will this be how he finally engages the Lt. Governor in the last days of their marathon struggle?

Dear Mr. President –

By now, the talking heads in Washington, New York and Boston have chewed to rags the story of Republican candidate Scott Brown’s win of Sen. Ted Kennedy’s seat. The reminder that electoral seats belong not to parties, but to the electorate, should be a point well taken. The loss in Massachusetts is not the first time a politician and his/her party have forgotten that there are no “safe” open seats. 
 
I don’t want to talk about Massachusetts and how hilarious I find it for Fox News to be saying “Thank God for Massachusetts”. All politics is local, MA pol Tip O’Neill famously said. It’s also subject to severe and continuing memory loss.
 
No, what I want to talk about is your Cabinet, Mr. President. Specifically, the presence in the Cabinet of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. I watched Mr. Geithner’s face last week when you made your stern comments about Wall Street. Frankly, he looked like he was in desperate need of a barf bag.

MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State University’s college of science, engineering and technology and the Office of Regional Stewardship have partnered with the Calloway County Conservation District to bring The Wonders of Physics Traveling Show to West Kentucky for K-12 students groups to enjoy. The goal is to raise awareness of and to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.
