A CN|2 poll shows Jack Conway has jumped ten points to tie Rand Paul since their last poll.
GOP candidate Rand Paul hurt his standing on both ends of the state in recent weeks. He made some unflattering remarks about the Fancy Farm Picnic on Shawn Hannity's radio show which was disputed by organizers of the 130 year old church picnic. Then he said drugs in Eastern Kentucky are not a pressing problem, raising eyebrows into hairlines in Eastern Kentucky.
By contrast, Conway has had smooth sailing the last few weeks. He didn't stumble at Fancy Farm and got the Fraternal Order of Police endorsement.
