Always enjoy reading the West Kentucky Journal, but have to comment on the lead story on Columbus Belmont. Columbus Belmont is listed in the 2011 Visitor’s Guide in the Western Section under Kentucky State Parks on page 91 and on page 15 in the front of the book under Run, Relax, Play & Stay in Kentucky State Parks. Columbus Belmont is also covered on the Parks website at www.parks.ky.gov. ...

Tilghman Speech Students Sweep Local Rotary Club Speech Contests

Paducah Tilghman sophomore Victoria Potter won first place and a $300 scholarship at the Paducah Rotary Club Speech Contest held February 23 at the McCracken County Public Library.

Junior Chandler Emmons Smith won first place and a $300 scholarship in Mayfield’s Rotary Club Contest held February 28 at the Mayfield Country Club.
