Please check out Senate Bill S1025; it is empowerment of the National Guard by providing us a seat on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The funding for this action will be from current budget, so there are no new expenses. If you have ever had your town flooded, experienced tornadoes & ice storms, been in combat, then you know the National Guard is ready and capable. We deserve a seat!!!!

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 5, 2011) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, Spc. Christopher J. Scott, 21, of Tyrone, New York, died Sept. 3 at Kandahar province, Afghanistan of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.
