Familiar names on Lundergan Grimes transition team

Former governor and now state senator Julian Carroll and Dr. Jack Rose of Murray are two of those helping incoming secretary of state Alison Lundergan Grimes take over her new duties.

Present Secretary of State Elaine Walker is moving over to Tourism.

Graves student shines in Regional Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Spelling Bee

SPELL SUCCESS – Graves County Central Elementary second grader Sydnee Davis recently placed sixth in the grades 1-2 division of the Second Annual Regional Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Spelling Bee in Bowling Green.

“She has worked diligently to prepare for this competition, not only here at school, but at home with the help and encouragement of her family,” said resource teacher Christy Bell-Cornaby. “We are all very proud of Sydnee’s success at Central!”
