What was once a 100 foot high storage bin is now twisted wreckage. That's the remains of a semi trailer lying in a mountain of corn.

(Clinton, KY January 12, 2013) – The rain came down in sheets for over two hours. In that time, Hickman County received three inches of rain. During the afternoon storm, one of the most recognizable agricultural landmarks blew apart.

Half a mile past Greg’s Supermarket and the Clinton city limits, over one half million bushels of corn spewed out of the twisted metal that was once Burgess Brothers’  newest storage bin. Corn in the bin was equal to 575 semi trailer loads of shelled corn from last season. Market value is estimated between six and eight million dollars.
