GRAVES SUMMER ART STUDENTS – Graves County High School students, from left, Hunter Moffitt and Gregory Willett have been accepted to the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts this summer. Moffitt plays trombone in various bands at his school. Willett is interested in the creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, and engineering of architecture as a potential career aspiration. GSA will give both students the chance to explore their creative interests at Transylvania University in Lexington.
LARGE CONTINGENT – Graves County High School has fielded a record number of participants from the Jackson Purchase high school in the summer 2013 edition of the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program. Altogether, nine GCHS students will experience five weeks of residential university life on college campuses across the Commonwealth.
