UPDATE- Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 - Erica Peterson of WFPL is reporting this afternoon that IF the Bluegrass Pipeline gets built, it will be built a year later than planned.

(Clinton KY - February 18, 2014) - An issue getting a great deal of press, ink and airtime in Central Kentucky that isn't reaching this part of the state is the Bluegrass Pipeline.

It's a fight that pits nuns and ordinary people against energy interests and big business. It's politics, fallen Corvettes and a big blow-up. It's fracking and environmentalism. 

And it's comin' this way.

Governor Beshear Recognizes Sacrifice of a Kentucky Marine

 FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 18 2014) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Kentucky Marine who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, Master Sgt. Aaron C. Torian, 36, of Paducah, Ky., died Feb. 15, while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2d Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Special Operations Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

(February 12, 2014) - Federal Judge John J. Heyburn II ruled today that the Commonwealth's refusal to recognize same sex marriages legal in other jurisdictions is a violation of the Equal Protections Clause of the US Constitution.

Surprisingly, it appears to be a point of pride that not only does one not take an interest, but somehow, it's not quite the done thing.
