Elkins takes on Calloway Library Board

(Murray KY) County Judge Larry Elkins continued his year long dispute with the Calloway County Library Board. At issue is how much a planned expansion of the facilities will cost. Elkins' issue is that the Library Board will have to finance at least half of the project. As a special taxing district, the Board can assess taxes for funding.

Elkins sent us an email he sent out with his objections and a link to a John Oliver "Last Week Tonight" segment on special taxing districts that featured former Kentucky State Auditor Adam Edelen.

Bowling Green getting 30 new jobs

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 21, 2016) - Gov. Matt Bevin today announced Performance Feeds LLC, a manufacturer of nutritional feed products for cattle, will relocate its primary production facility from Tennessee to Bowling Green with a nearly $2.3 million investment expected to create 30 full-time jobs.
