PSC puts the kibosh on Cumberland Valley Electric family business

The Kentucky Public Service Commission had an issue with Cumberland Valley Electric's continued waivers of the utility's nepotism rule - four current Cumberland Valley employees are related to the utility's CEO and an additional 12 employees and a board member are related to other Cumberland Valley employees.

The PSC also reduced the utility's rate increase.

Cumberland Valley serves Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knox, Laurel, Leslie, Letcher, McCreary, and Whitley Counties in southeastern Kentucky.
