LETTER TO THE EDITOR

UTILITIES, INC. CUSTOMERS

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO HAVE YOUR SAY

ABOUT A 50.8% INCREASE

ON YOUR WATER BILL!

The Kentucky Public Service Commission, the PSC, hasn’t decided to give the water company what it wants-yet. Local residents who asked to intervene and express why we objected to this 50.8% increase were denied because the PSC decided we could not add anything that the Attorney General in Frankfort did not know. So, Assistant Attorney General David Spenard will be representing our interests

We can help Mr. Spenard represent us by contacting him with our reasons why we can’t afford this increase and why we believe the water company should not get it.

You and I have a choice. If you are a citizen, a business owner, government entity, or anyone who uses water in the City, you have a choice: Say nothing and allow this 50.8% water rate increase OR you can let your voice be heard.

Write:

 A.  A letter, in your own words, and say why you feel this increase should not be allowed and include on your letter “Water Service Corp., Case No. 2008-00563” and send to:

 Kentucky Public Service Commission

P.O. Box 615

Frankfort, Kentucky 40601

B. Another letter and explain that you as a customer expect to be well represented and that you plan to hold the AG accountable and mail to:

Assistant Attorney General David Spenard

Office of Rate Intervention

1024 Capital Center Drive

Frankfort, Kentucky 40601

IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK UP, THEN YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. ALL IT WILL COST IS TWO STAMPS.
