Berry Craig
Local author to attend Kentucky Book Fair
Berry Craig of Mayfield has been invited to participate in the 28th annual Kentucky Book Fair in Frankfort on Nov. 7.
Craig is the author of True Tales of Old-Time Kentucky Politics: Bombast, Bourbon and Burgoo, recently published by the History Press in Charleston, S.C.
Each year, more than 150 authors attend the fair ready to autograph their books and meet people who want to buy their books. Approximately 3,000 people from Kentucky and surrounding states go to the fair.
“The Kentucky Book Fair is considered the state’s premier literary event and owes its success to writers, readers and volunteers who believe that literacy is an important cause which must be continually promoted for the public good,” said Connie A. Crowe, Kentucky Book Fair manager. She added that “the central purpose of the Kentucky Book Fair, Inc. is to bring writers and patrons together in celebration of their mutual interest and to promote awareness of the importance of writing and reading within the general public.”
Craig is a professor of history at the West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah and a freelance writer. His book is available online from the publisher at historypress.net and Amazon.com. Autographed copies are available from the author at bcraig8960@newwavecomm.net.
