Free Inaugural Balls - Frankfort, December 11th

 Black Tie and Formal Dress Optional

The new Democratic Administration will throw three free shindigs on the grounds of the Capitol Tuesday night for supporters, well wishers and anyone else who wants to brave the cold winter night to party. 

After the big parade (which will take hours and hours), put on your glass slippers and dance the night away.

The Grand March will be at 8:00 pm in the Capitol Rotunda. Lexington Philharmonic with internationally proclaimed soprano Joanna Mongiardo - Dr. Dan's cousin.

The Governor's Ball - 7:30 - midnight. Tent adjacent to the Governor's Mansion

Theme: Celebration

Dance to the music of the Torques and the Trendells.

Food - Southvan Catering - chilled tenderloin, miniature hot browns, carmelized onion and potato tarts, shrimp, white chocolate fountain, caramel bourbon cheesecake, black walnut cake, lemon tarts, and bread pudding with bourbon sauce.

Drink: Cash bar

Capital Ball 7:30 - midnight. Tent behind the Capitol

Theme: An Evening at the Capitol
Music: The Jerry Tolson Orchestra

Food - Bayou Bluegrass Catering - mini-baked Brie, mini-chicen cordon bleu, Caesar salad, shaved primed rib, shaved portk tenderloin, sushi, smoked salmon and shrimp

Drink: Cash bar

Kentucky Ball 7:30 - midnight. Tent adjacent to the Capitol Annex


Music: Exile, Halfway to Hazard, Candy Coburn and John Conlee will perform.

Food - Capitol Plaza Hotel. Kentucky cheeses, fruits and egetables, smoked paddlefish, mini-Hot Browns, country ham and biscuits, corn bread muffins with apple butter, carved top of beef, bourbon pecan truffles, chocolate nut pie and bread pudding with bourbon sauce

Drink: Cash bar
