Ivan Potter gains Clinton City Council seat

Ivan Potter tied for third place in the Clinton City Council race. The six seats will be filled by five incumbents and Potter. The vote totals were: Phyllis Campbell - 299, Mickey Beck - 290, Ivan Potter - 284, Jeff Morrow - 284, Yvette Thomas - 242, Gilbert Fortner - 238 and Ariel Estes - 220. Estes was the only candidate who didn't gain a seat.

Former mayor Tommy KImbro defeated Howard Dillard 187-165.

In Hickman County, Rand Paul defeated Jack Conway 947-733. Rep. Ed Whitfield handily defeated challenger Charles Hatchett 2119-277. Incumbent state representative Steven Rudy totaled 994 votes to Mike Lawrence's 704.
