“Our students loved this program and learned science through hands-on demonstrations,” said Robert Braden, principal of the southeastern Graves County school. “We appreciate the Calloway County Conservation District and Murray State University for providing our students with this opportunity.”

The program is provided free through the Office of Regional Stewardship and Outreach at MSU to western Kentucky’s 18 westernmost counties to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education throughout the region. Lindsey will engage students in hands-on science in a different county each Wednesday through March 30.

An interested school’s leadership should decide the type of science content of interest to its students, how many 45-minute programs are needed for K-12 students, and establish a location within the district appropriate for demonstrations for an audience of up to 600 students.
