HCHS students using private voting booths to cast student council ballots.

The Hickman County High School Library was recently transformed into a polling center as students voted to elect members to this year's Student Council. To make the experience as authentic as possible, students used private voting booths on loan from Hickman County Clerk Jimbo Berry.

In addition, students had to sign a register before obtaining ballots, and they received "I Voted" flag stickers to wear once their ballots were marked and submitted. With a voter turn-out of 94%, incoming seventh graders were the most eager group to have their voices heard.
