WEST KENTUCKY JOURNAL OF POLITICS AND ISSUES
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - SORT OF

Dear Readers -
As of yesterday, the first day of autumn, 2008, I took over management of the West Kentucky Journal of Politics & Issues from Ivan Potter, my husband, partner and best friend. 
 
I've helped Ivan from the beginning (as a human spell checker), later as unpaid researcher, then graduated to writing articles and editorials, some under my own name. Now that Ivan is so involved with the Mississippi River Journal (copies available throughout Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman and Fulton Counties), we decided it was time for me to take responsibility for WKJPI. 

I hope that the quality of work we've accomplished over the past year will remain high and that you, our readers, will continue to offer tips, story ideas, rants, raves and comments.

West Kentucky, my adopted home, is a marvelous place.  Ivan and I are committed to leaving it better than we found it when we shuffle off. That's one reason we decided not to close WKJPI when Ivan no longer had time to properly devote to it.

This journal is not a blog. It is a newsjournal that could as easily be in print as online. We have always tried to provide accurate, researched information. That will not change. 

It may not be a blog, but I would like for it to be a conversation. For private thoughts, email me at editor@westkypolitics.org or share your opinions - become a member and post any time you feel the spirit.
