O'Malley to keynote Dem Dinner June 8th
Former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley will keynote 2017 Dem dinner.

MURRAY - Martin O'Malley, former governor of Maryland and 2016 presidential candidate will keynote the annual Purchase Area Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner Thursday, June 8th.

The annual event is sponsored by the Calloway County Democratic Party.

"We are excited to have a national figure like Gov. O'Malley at our event," David Ramey, Calloway County Democratic Party chair said. "Gov. O'Malley drew rave reviews during his tenure as Governor and as a presidential contender in 2016 and we are looking forward to having him in western Kentucky."

This year's event will be held at the Kenlake State Park Tennis Center in Aurora. A silent auction and social hour will start at 6:00 p.m. CDT. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. The meal will be catered by Sirloin Stockade in Murray. .

Democratic constitutional officers have also been invited to speak along with members of both Kentucky House and Senate Leadership.

Tickets are $30.00 per person if paid by June 5 ($35.00 each if paid after June 5). We will also be pre-selling a Young Democrat ticket for those age 25 and younger; $25 if pre-paid by June 5.

"We've seen tremendous energy in the Democratic Party in 2017, and Gov. O'Malley's visit will just add to that," Ramey said. "We're looking forward to seeing everyone on June 8."
