The Delta variant is causing illness in vaccinated people - though risks of hospitalization and death are significantly decreased. Decreased - but not to zero - former Representative Brent Yonts died recently of the virus. He was fully vaccinated.

In positive news, Trigg and Carlisle were upgraded to yellow zones.

A special session is expected but what the Governor will call the General Assembly in to do remains to be seen. If Governor doesn't limit his call, then it's surf's up with the supermajority of Republicans in both Houses.
