Local Purchase area Democrats will gather to hear candidate Steve Beshear on Friday evening at Columbus Belmont Park activities center. The doors open at 4:30. Beshear will speak after dinner.
At this writing, there is no word if other candidates on the Democratic ticket will be on hand. Catfish dinners- fries, cole slaw, baked beans, dessert and a drink will be served by members of the Hickman, Fulton and Carlisle Democratic executive committees.
