Yawn. Kentucky Central Report Published

The long anticipated Kentucky Central report that Gov. Fletcher hinted would be a disaster for the Beshear campaign came out Saturday. Instead of a bang, the report landed with a thud. The legal document, complete with case citations and footnotes, was prepared by Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur of Cincinnati for Frost and Jacobs, a Louisville law firm, who hired them for Don Stephens, the Commissioner of Insurance at the time of the liquidation of Kentucky Central. (Still with us? It doesn't get much better from here) We read it. We scratched our heads. We wondered where the smoking gun was.

Interestingly, Footnote 17 specifically cleared Beshear of any knowledge of a conflict. The two part paper breaks Footnote 17 into two parts over the two sections of the report when we read it on Alessi's blog. Now the link to the report is gone. Now that the big gun report misfired, we can only speculate what Fletcher will do next. Maybe there will be some fireworks at the gubernatorial debate at the Carson Center in Paducah on Thursday. One can only hope.
