Balanced budget amendment needed according to Rand Paul

Dr. Rand Paul, son of congressman Ron Paul, went after his father's political party Saturday when he told the crowd that good legislators become part of the problem after they've been in Washington for awhile.  Paul advocated throwing the bums out- a move to term limit career politicians.  He told the crowd that newly elected representatives are tainted by their time in Washington. 

Paul said that a balanced budget amendment should be a priority on the federal level.  He pointed out that states, like Kentucky, must balance their budget.  He pointed out that the GOP doubled the national debt. Debt service is now 13% of the gross national product.
