Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo has his stock speech down pat - a heaping helping of his rags to riches autobiography, a cup of health care reform, a tablespoon of qualifications - if elected, he'll be the only Democratic doctor in the US Senate and a dash of Conway baiting - all stirred up with a big wooden spoon of sincerity.
He stuck to his recipe on Saturday and while he didn't get the big applause, he lost no ground. When one is neck and neck at the front of the pack, that counts as a very good day, indeed.
